New to Elmendorf AFB or Fort Richardson (Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson JBER) - looking for a church? Come fellowship with us every Sunday at 1130am in Chapel 2 on Elmendorf (19th and J street). We are a new ministry in the chapel and are trusting God to lead us into a full worship service. We are not a chaplain led chapel service, but a denominational led Pentecostal fellowship. We believe in the freedom of worship, the fullness of and demonstration of the Spiritual gifts, and the unadulterated preaching of the Word. We believe in the power of prayer and in laying on of hands for those who desire healing, deliverance, or a special touch from God. We simply want to provide you the opportunity to worship and serve God from your Pentecostal/Full Gospel distinctive/perspective, and to do so, in your chapel on base.
Our Vision and Mission is to:
Change lives by preaching and living the Gospel message of Jesus Christ (advance the kingdom) - Minister to the needs of His body equipping all to live a successful life in Christ
Carry one another's burdens by faithfully praying and fellowshipping together - Make disciples by preaching/teaching the Word of God (train ministers)
Lonny pastored a Pentecostal worship service in the base chapel while stationed at Andersen AFB Guam. He is passionate about, and not ashamed of, the Gospel. It is his vision to reach the unchurched, win the lost, see revival among God's people and an awakening among the lost. He covets your prayers for this ministry as he is well aware of the extreme disdain the devil has for any work of God - this ministry is no exception.
We Need to Pray!
It is certain that we need to be a praying people – if we are not, we will be a powerless church relegated to the equivalency and affect of some country club! Jesus said in Matthew 6:6 "When you pray…enter your closet and close the door." Public prayer is also necessary, as are prayers throughout the day, but let us not neglect to do as Jesus himself did and enter into our closet of prayer daily. This may mean (as it did for Jesus) that you have to rise early or go to bed late, but it is absolutely paramount to the furtherance of the Kingdom that we seek the Lord’s face and will from our closets. Hey, if Jesus needed to pray daily, how much more do we need to?
