It’s a sad commentary that those in the church are oftentimes no different than those in the world – they have not separated themselves from sin and it has cost them more than they’ll ever know. Not only has it cost them it has cost their brothers and sisters too. Why isn’t the church more of a light to a lost world? Because the church has learned to live with darkness! World opinion of Christians often times is no different than non-Christians! This is because those in the church, those who call themselves Christians have failed to be transformed, they think the same way the world thinks, they talk the same way the world talks and they act the same way the world acts and we wonder why God isn’t moving among us! It’s time to repent church! We are to be a peculiar people, a people of the word, belonging to God and known by the world for our righteous living! It should not be that we cannot be distinguished from the rest of the world – the world should know we’re Christian before we ever open our mouth! Every aspect of our lives should be devoted to giving God the glory! Christians being despised in the work place because of their laziness, because of their "holier than thou" attitudes instead of being looked up to because of their undeniable, irrefutable, above reproach work habits and all around righteous conduct! This conduct quenches the Spirit of God from your life and the body of believers! The word of God rightfully says in Proverbs 4:23: Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. 1 Peter 4:17, 18 says: It’s time for judgment to begin at the house of God, for if the righteous scarcely be saved, what will become of the unrighteous? And James 4:8: Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. It’s past time church to be transformed into Christ’s likeness and shine as righteous lights in a dark world!
